Mimetics

Richard Brown, the founder of mimetics, practices a modern day form of alchemy, combining art, technology, research and innovation to produce "transforming experiences".
The experiences may take the form of a responsive digital installation such as the mimetic starfish, or a naturally evolving contemplative artwork as with the Electrochemical Glass.
His latest work is the design of a new electronics product that enables the control of multicolour LED lighting via the wave of a hand, the movement of passers by; it senses, remembers and responds to gesture and movement, producing waves of ambient coloured light.
