Shore Design is a creative, professional product design consultancy with a fresh approach and a proven track record.

Based in Leith, Shore Design offers the complete product design and development partnership, providing fast track and cost effective solutions to a world-wide client base from start-ups to multi-national organisations. We regularly undertake all aspects of the product development process from strategy and concept, into industrial design and engineering, all the way through to prototyping and mass production.

Founded in 2003 by James McLusky & Nick Foley, Shore Design started out with an initial team of 12 experienced designers and engineers quickly building a reputation for excellent quality work generating desirable, innovative, easy to use products with point of sale impact. Allan McDougall joined the management team in early 2004 and now Shore has a comprehensive team of 21 development specialists consisting of engineers, designers, mechanism experts, model makers and manufacturing consultants. We routinely undertake projects of all sizes across many market sectors including consumer, telecoms, capital, technology, medical, industrial and packaging sectors working to common development quality standards such as ISO:9001, ISO:13485 & Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC. These projects can range from dental floss containers to spinal implants to MP3 players to blood glucose meters to 'Hole in the wall' ATMs.

Our driving motivation across all this work is that through'intelligent design' we can take our clients ahead of their competition by creating world class products that obtain greater market share year on year whilst lowering product costs without lowering the product's quality, thus maximising our client's profit margins.
