Totseat

Developed out of frustration with the available portable highchairs, Totseat is a fun and funky response to a significant design challenge: How to safely anchor a child in a normal chair when no highchairs are available.

'The first Totseat was made from the lining of my wedding dress' says its inventor, Edinburgh parent and entrepreneur Rachel Jones. From these humble beginnings Totseat went onto an intensive development process involving safety experts, paediatricians, physiotherapists and many others, not to mention 900 chairs.

Following an amazingly successful first year, which included winning the Grand Prix at the Scottish Design Awards, Totseat is now available worldwide.

Suitable for children who can sit unsupported and are aged between 6 and 30 months, Totseat anchors the child in safety and comfort in an adult chair. It's easy to use, works on most shapes and sizes of chair and fits easily into a handbag.

Totseat works closely with the Child Accident Prevention Trust and donates 5% of profits to the Sick Kids Hospital in Edinburgh.
